okay. I think we found something. a path. a dancing path. sort of an invisible dance partner! a device that will react on movement and sound, that becomes your substitute for a dance partner, or rather something that can function as a communication between you and someone dancing with you far away.......

maybe it could be sort of mobile, something to bring on the walk home in the dark, sort of a comfort, like a flashlight with personality.........that could produce some sort of sound (music?) and light, maybe heat...well. something like that? a soothing thing? that you can have beside you in the bed if you can´t sleep. the sound could be soft, sort of like a cat who purrs. but what should it react on when you are in fact asleep? breathing?
and no, I have no idea how to make this but lets start with the ideas and think about practical matters later. hehe.
thinking and thinking
hey you over there!
this is a small draft to try finding my way in the matter of thinking about ideas.
we talked about the light and the sound. light meets light and sound meets sound or something like that. input and output. something that reacts on something else. and suddenly I remembered that guy who had the masters examination who really moved us. his project was all about the conversation, the communication and how you can illustrate that in different ways, and I´m thinking that its just what we are working with here. the communication between input and output. conversation between a sound that turns into a light or vice versa. or something else.
I tried to explain to you why I was thinking about the films. and not only because I think that film is fantastic, but because its a medium with so many components. light and sound and movement. imitation of life. sometimes when I am home alone I put on the TV, maybe not to watch a programme, but to have something to be surrounded by. a voice, a movement, a light. imitation of life.
I am very interested by that. how you could make a film that is actually not a film, but very simplified. light and sound that changes. a box or a bowl or something very simple that becomes sort of a personality.
